At Aqua Broadcast Limited, we are proud to have an exceptional engineering team led by our Technical Director Dr Pavel Valousek, who holds a PhD and is a recognized authority in broadcast technology. Under his leadership, our team of highly qualified engineers, each holding advanced academic degrees in electronics, mechanics, telecommunications, and related fields, ensures the highest levels of innovation, precision, and technical excellence in everything we create. By managing the design process internally, we maintain complete control over every detail, enabling us to innovate and customize solutions to meet the unique requirements of our clients.

Manufactured in the UK 

All Aqua Broadcast transmitters are proudly designed and manufactured in the UK. Each transmitter undergoes rigorous testing to ensure reliability, durability, and exceptional performance.

Our Transmitters have independent certification and laboratory testing for FCC and Industry Canada use. Aqua Broadcast also holds ISO9001 certification, and various country -specific homologations globally.

Innovation

COBALT Transmitters were the first to use the Raspberry Pi CM3B+. This embedded module acts as the system controller and is also used by many reputable Telcom and IT network manufacturers worldwide. Its renowned for its power and robust architecture, so it’s a proven platform. Because the Raspberry Pi is designed in the UK, and we also source these in the UK direct from Raspberry’s retail partner – it couldn’t be any more British! All our software is developed in house and in collaboration with our European software partners.

Regardless of changes in the supply chain, we source components globally and have a robust obsolescence management plan, ensuring our products remain reliable and maintainable throughout their lifecycle. We work with a network of reputable suppliers (for example, Arrow, Mouser, and Farnell) across the globe, ensuring access to high-quality components that meet international standards. By diversifying our supply chain, we minimize risks associated with global or regional disruptions. 

Our primary chips come from manufacturers like Analog Devices, AMD/Xilinx, STMicroelectronics, Microchip, On Semiconductor, Texas Instruments, and NXP. Most semiconductors, especially processors are manufactured in Taiwan and South Korea while Malaysia and China focus more on assembly, testing and packaging.
